What does gocimit actually do?
We help SMBs and startups redesign how they operate with AI. That means three things at once: the organisation, the people and the product. In practice we build software, put AI into the way teams work, and lead the technical side from the inside as a fractional CTO.
What is an agentic team?
A team where the work goes through AI agents rather than around them. Tasks are specified from an agent, code is written with an agent, and tests, documentation and code review are part of that automated flow instead of extra work at the end. It is a change in how the team works, not a tool it installs.
What is a forward deployed engineer, and why does it matter for an SMB?
A senior engineer who works from inside the client's team and owns the technical outcome end to end, instead of handing over a report or a proof of concept. The term comes from enterprise AI, where most projects fail not on the model but on the deployment: integrations, security, people. An SMB has the same last mile with a smaller team, so that is how we work. Unlike the large players, we have no platform of our own to deploy, so we choose the tools for the problem and not the other way round.
Do you work with companies that already have their own tech team?
Yes, and that is the most common case. We do not replace the team: we change how it works and we leave the capability behind. Our Modfie case is exactly that, a product with more than ten years of history and a small team that knows it inside out.
How does an engagement usually start?
With a technical due diligence: we look at the real state of the platform, the infrastructure, the processes and the team, and we come out with a roadmap that leadership can prioritise and budget. From there we execute the parts you want us to execute.
What is a fractional CTO?
A senior technical leader embedded in your company part-time, steering the build and the shift to AI from the inside. It is for companies that need that level of decision-making without a full-time hire yet.
